Lisa Edelstein (born Lisa Edelstein) is an American actress best recognized for her role as House in the Fox medical drama House. Growing up with Jewish conservatives in Wayne, New York City was the place she went to pursue her studies in acting at Tisch. However, very quickly she was active in the club scene and made enough noise that she was noticed by the press, while also becoming aware of the devastation of AIDS. She used both her training in music and fame to write and perform in a new musical, Positive Me. Soon after, she was hired by MTV to present Awake On The Wild Side. After the show was finished, she went on to join the film and television productions. The first time she worked, she was able to get tiny roles and then established herself slowly as an actress.
