Ashley Madekwe and Ashley Leggat
Madekwe is a British-Nigerian mixed race child was born into the family of South London. Her father is Nigerian and Swiss as well as her mom is English. Her family was in the South London Council Estate and went to The Brit School aged 14. She attended The Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in London in which she earned an acting BA. As a student at the academy was when she performed in various stage productions, such as the King Henry V as Princess Katherine and Wuthering Heights as Catherine Earnshaw.
Madekwe's acting career started with Storm Damage. In the years since, she's been a guest star on Teachers, Doctors, Casualty as well as Drop Dead Gorgeous. Her breakthrough role came in 2007's Woody Allen film Cassandra's Dream. It was in the role of Colin Farrell (who played the character of Cassandra) and Ewan McGrath. Her popularity has led her to be cast in Elisha in a one-off BBC Three drama West 10 LDN pilot. Later, she appeared in the six-episode series Trexx & Flipside in the role of Ollie. In 2008, Madekwe landed Bambi as the main character in the ITV2 drama Secret Diary of a Call Girl. Madekwe also appeared on the comedy How to Lose Friends and alienate others (2008). She also appeared in Little Sweet Thing, by Roy Williams, and Flight Path, by David Watson.
Madekwe was chosen to play Ashley Davenport for the ABC drama The Beautiful Life. The two-episode series aired for just the duration of two weeks The CW and then it ended. Ashley Davenport was her role in the ABC drama Revenge. Madekwe's departure from the series was officially announced in May of 2013. After two years as the main character she was a guest in the first episode of season 3. From 2014 to 2016, she starred in Salem on the CW as Tituba. Madekwe married her long-time partner, Iddo. They collaborated in the film Secret Diary of a Call Girl. Goldberg also appeared alongside Madekwe on Salem.
Ashley Leggat was born in Hamilton, Ontario, into a large, extended family. Her parents, Roy and Patty along with her four brothers, Brett, Todd, and Bram, were all present. Ashley's brothers were athletic and played baseball in summer and hockey in the winter. Ashley couldn't walk, however she danced. As a result, when she turned 2 She discovered Baby Ballet. Ashley was captivated by dancing at the age of. Ashley continued to perform competitively until her high-school graduation at the top levels of competitions, such as ballet, tap, Jazz Pointe, Acrobatics, Pointe Musical Theatre, Lyrical Hip Hop, and much more. The important dance competitions, including International Dance Challenge, Showstoppers 56-7-8 Showtime, Flash Dance, Dance, Dance, Dance which have awarded her the title "top soloist".
