Mena Alexandera Suvari, born in 1979 is a American model actress, designer and actor. Her birth date was 13 February 1979. Following a brief time as a model for fashion and then a transition to acting when she appeared as a guest star on TV shows such as Boy Meets World in the 1990s, and High Incident. Her film debut was in 1997's dramatic Nowhere. Her performances on the film American Beauty, for which she was awarded an BAFTA Award nomination and American Pie led to her being the subject of more recognition. She has appeared with American Pie's Co-Star Jason Biggs in Loser (2000) before starring as the role of lead for the film Sugar & Spice (2001). There were appearances on her in the independent drama Spun and the 2004 horror film Trauma. In 2004, she starred on HBO's drama Six Feet Under. She was nominated for the Screen Actors ' Guild Award 2005, as part of the Outstanding Ensemble. In 2008 she was seen in various films such as Day of the Dead The Mysteries of Pittsburgh or the movie adaptation to The Garden of Eden. Suvari is a model for Lancome cosmetics, as well as printed ads for Lancome Paris Adaptive as well as has appeared in numerous magazine and fashion blogs, including Vogue. Suvari is an activist and frequent supporter of African Medical and Research Foundation. She's also involved in charities which fight breast cancer and End Violence Against Women.
