Moroccan-born Sofia Pernas moved to California when she was 5 years old. She grew up in Orange County. She received her big break acting when she graduated from University of California San Diego in the year 2015. Pernas began her acting career through tiny roles in NCIS and Leverage. The Young and the Restless gave Pernas the role Marisa. In 2016, after leaving the soap opera, the actress landed an appearance as Catalina in Jane the Virgin. The model, fluent in four languages, has since appeared in The Brave and The Green Ghost as Hannah Rivera. She also was on the show Secret Society of Second Born Royals. Between the years of 2019 and 2020 Pernas played Lexi Vaziri as part of Blood & Treasure. Us Weekly confirmed that Pernas and Justin Hartley were dating in May of 2020. The news came after Chrishell Stause (the wife of This Is Us actor) was able to break up with him in the month of November and Pernas began dating Hartley. News broke in May 2021 in 2021 that Pernas and Hartley recently tied the knot with a private ceremony.
