Sofia Pernas was born in Morocco. She relocated to California at age five. She was raised mainly on the coast of Orange County. She received her graduation from the University of California, San Diego in the year 2015, which was her year that she earned her big break in acting. Pernas, who had made minor appearances on NCIS as well as Leverage before landing the role of Marisa on The Young and the Restless and was an established face on the soap show.
