Born in Morocco, Sofia Pernas moved to California in the year she turned 5 old and grew up at home in Orange County. She earned her degree from the University of California, San Diego in the year 2015, which was the same year she got her biggest break in acting. Pernas was a guest on a couple of episodes on NCIS and Leverage after which she was offered her role as Marisa as Marisa in The Young and the Restless. After leaving the soap opera in 2016 the actress scored the role of a regular in Jane the Virgin as Catalina. The actress who is multi-lingual has appeared on The Brave, The Green Ghost as well as Secret Society of Second Born Royals. She played Lexi Vaziri on Blood & Treasure from the year 2019 until 2020. Us Weekly reported in May 2020 that Pernas was dating Justin Hartley from The Young and the Restless. The star of the show Pernas began dating Justin Hartley after her split with Chrishell Stase, whom she was engaged to from November of 2019. In May of 2021, it was reported that news surfaced that Pernas Hartley has recently tied the knot in private.
